Further Services

Following the completion of your Fire Safety Risk Assessment, Drummond Fire Risk offer a complimentary 12 month review.

Complimentary

Following either your audit or assessment, you will be provided with a comprehensive Fire Safety Testing & Maintenance Logbook which allows you to maintain a written record of all testing and maintenance requirements, staff training, fire drills etc all in one place.  The Fire Service Inspector may ask to see this as you have a duty to provide evidence that your Fire Equipment is being adequately maintained.

Additional Costs

It is important to understand that whoever carries out your Fire Risk Assessment, only has the responsibility to identify any failings or deficiencies within your premises.  This includes any physical requirements and procedural requirements.  You, as the owner (The Responsible Person) have the responsibility and duty of care to ensure action is taken where necessary.  The Risk Assessor will not do this for you.

These will most likely attract additional costs, not included in the original contract.

Potential Failings/Deficiencies

Physical

Lack of suitable warning & detection, emergency lighting, emergency signage within the premises.

Lack of fire compartmentation i.e. damaged or missing fire-rated doors, breaches in fire compartment walls, fire-stopping, blocked or obstructed means of escape etc.

Procedural

Lack of suitable written fire safety policy, evacuation strategy, personal/fire emergency evacuation plans (FEEPS/PEEPS), recording of testing & maintenance regimes.
